Tollhouse Security Ltd was established in April 2002. Sited on the borders of Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire, the company has excellent access to the A1M, M1 and the M11 Motorways. This gives Tollhouse the ability to get to locations fast and efficiently, giving clients the services they need and demand across the UK.

Tollhouse Electrical and Security is a local family run business. Stephen Robinson, Company Director, initiated the first job on behalf of the company and remains at its helm today, some 30 years on. With a wealth of experience behind him and doing what he enjoys and excels at the company has gone from strength to strength.

Tollhouse has, over the years, built a strong reputation for delivering high quality service, recognising and valuing the importance of a personal, friendly service whilst combining innovation to system design. Remaining at the cutting edge of technology Tollhouse offers customers the very latest security solutions, every time.

In 2009 the company took the radical decision to invest in all of its engineers enrolling staff on a City & Guilds 2330 Electrical installation course. The company is proud with the outcome that all engineers now hold the (qualification) and are Technical qualified competent electricians to BS7671: 2011 17th Edition.

In 2010 Tollhouse Security gained NSI accreditation placing the company on a level playing field with the big boys in the security industry.

In 2012 Tollhouse Security (trading as Tollhouse Electrical) gained NICEIC accreditation as a domestic installer.

In 2013 the decision to change the company name to Tollhouse Electrical and Security was made at the start of the new year with a new focused view on the future bring the very best of both industries under one roof.

Safety and competence
Electricians registered by NICEIC are assessed on a regular basis to ensure that they are competent and capable of meeting the relevant technical and safety standards, codes of practice and rules of the schemes they are registered to.

Compliance with building regulations
Contractors registered to NICEIC Building Regulations Schemes in England and Wales are authorised to self-certify their work to the Local Building Control Body. This saves you both time and money when undertaking work that requires notification under Building Regulations.

Insurance Backed Warranty
The NICEIC Insurance Backed Warranty covers work done by contractors registered to the NICEIC Part P Domestic Installer Scheme that is notifiable to Building Control. Should any work be found not to comply with the Building Regulations and where the contractor is no longer in business we will have the work rectified by another NICEIC contractor at no extra cost. Remember to ask the contractor for a Part P certificate on completion of work. The certificate will have the IBW details on it. The financial limit placed on the remedial work is £25,000 for any one installation. The warranty is valid for a period of six years from the date of completion of the original work.

Guarantee of Standards / Complaints procedure
NICEIC expects its registered contractors to provide a quality service to their customers. If a customer and an Approved Contractor are unable to resolve an alleged deficiency in the technical standard of electrical work, the customer can make a formal complaint to NICEIC. NICEIC will help facilitate the negotiations between the contractor and the complainant and in certain cases can ask the contractor to rectify the work at no extra cost to the consumer.
